Zu versuchen Dinge miteinander (engl. to try things together) deals with vulnerability, trust and the mutual giving and taking in relationships.

A strong metal structure with a glowing and translucent membrane stands in the middle of the room. Each of its sides is filmed and projected onto the next screen, creating a circular feedback space in its interior. A text on the wall allows visitors to cut their way through the screen - if they stitch it back together.

During the 36 days of the exhibition, visitors interacted with the installation, leaving not only long marks of entering but also smaller stitched-up shapes and abstract texts. With the camera system and beamers positioned in each corner, their traces were projected across the prism’s surfaces and subtly spilling into the room.

The work was presented in the exhibition "Proberaum Pina" at Kunstmuseum Solingen. The title refers to a comment Pina Bausch made in an interview talking about performers on stage: “[...] It's always something very delicate, a kind of overcoming, and it means a lot to the person, and it takes an incredible amount of mutual trust to try things together.” - Pina Bausch im Gespräch mit Eva-Elisabeth Fischer, Bayerischer Rundfunk 1994
